The longest gypsum cave in the world. Over 260 km of passages formed in soluble gypsum beds. Named the Cave of Optimists by the Lviv cavers who first explored it. A labyrinth of long parallel corridors with few natural connections. Exploration has taken decades of systematic survey work.
