A Maya ceremonial cave in the Tapir Mountain Nature Reserve. Visitors wade through river water to reach cathedral-like chambers. The Crystal Maiden is a fully calcified skeleton of a young woman. Pottery and artifacts remain exactly where the Maya left them. Known locally as ATM cave. One of the most sacred Maya sites known to archaeology.
