About Kungur Ice Cave
A gypsum cave in the Ural Mountains famous for permanent ice formations. First mentioned in writing in 1703. Frozen waterfalls and ice lakes fill dozens of grottoes. Over 5.7 km of passages with about 1.5 km open to tourists. Legend says the cave formed where a winter demon made his home.
