About Scarisoara Ice Cave

Home to one of the largest underground glaciers in the world. The permanent ice block is thousands of years old. Cold air sinks into the shaft and traps the ice below. Declared a natural monument and opened as a show cave. Total ice volume is estimated at over 75,000 cubic meters.
